The Christian Literature Company undertook the publication of Dr. Schaff's Theological Propaedeutic in the fall of 1891, upon the agreement of the author to furnish the copy for the work so that it could appear complete in the Magazine for the year October, 1891, to September, 1 892. The copy was not furnished so as to make this possible, and the recent stroke of paralysis suffered by the Doctor compels him to drop the work in its present unfinished state. We must ask the kind in dulgence of our subscribers underthese circumstances.
