" HE Worcester Excursion Car Company provide special or private Cars, 
 designed and constructed to meet the wants of parties desiring the 
 comforts and privacy of their occupancy, to the exclusion of all 
 other travellers. 
 
 Dramatic Companies, Pleasure Excursionists, Hunting and Fishing Parties or 
 Business Men requiring the use of private hotel cars, which may be run on any 
 railway, can lease one or more of the elegant coaches of this Company for any 
 length of time. 
 
 These Cars are all built especially for this business and are models of con- 
 venience, comfort and luxury. 
 
 Three competent men, — Cook, Porter and Waiter, — accompany each Car, 
 with the exception of the ShaugJiraun. •

Every Car is equipped with the improved Janney-Miller combination coupler 
 and buffer, and the Westinghouse automatic air brake, and is furnished with the 
 latest and best style of car heaters, elegant parlor and dining-room furniture, 
 Wilton carpets, electric bells from each department to servants' quarters, bedding, 
 bed and table linen, silver, china, kitchen utensils ; and in fact, with everything 
 necessary for the comfort and pleasure of its occupants. 
 
 Arrangements may be made with the railroad companies to haul these cars on 
 regular passenger trains, on short notice and at reasonable rates, so that parties 
 occupying them can visit any railroad point in the country. 
 
 A party of twenty or less to each car will find this a most delightful method 
 of railway travel ; and as each party controls its own movements the objectionable 
 features of the large excursion parties are entirely removed. 
 
While the Worcester Excursion Car Company retains its original feature, as 
 the prominent one, of leasing its cars for any length of time to responsible parties, 
 the demand for general Excursions is such, that the management has decided 
 upon offering a series of personally conducted Pleasure Tours, under its own 
 immediate care and direction. 
 
 An officer of the company will accompany each Excursion party, to look after 
 their comfort and wants ; each Car will be provided with a Cook, Waiter and 
 Porter. First-class meals will be served in the Car at regular hours, and sleep- 
 ing accommodations furnished. 
 
 As the number of Passengers to each Car is necessarily limited they form a 
 select party, and move from point to point as private travellers, with ample time 
 for visiting all places of interest en-route, and with the additional advantage of 
 having their wants studied and provided for, a feature which must especially 
 commend itself to pleasure travellers.

 The following attractive route has been arranged : 
 
 Leaving Worcester, Thursday, Sept. i, by the Fitchburg R. R., over the favorite 
 Hoosac Tunnel Route, through a charming section of Massachusetts, and traversing the 
 world-renowned Hoosac Tunnel. Saratoga will be reached at a seasonable hour in the 
 afternoon, remaining until Friday evening, affording ample time for visiting the various 
 points of interest for which this celebrated Watering Place is noted.

Leave Saratoga Friday evening via D. & H. C. Co. R. R. travelling along the shores of 
 Lake Champlain to Port Kent 
 
 Saturday will be devoted to visiting Ausable Chasm and every facility afforded for a 
 thorough inspection of this natural wonder. At one place the river is compressed to a 
 breadth of only ten feet and again widens to fifty. The waters dash madly through their 
 confined channel, and are precipitated over falls, cascades and rapids. The length of the 
 Chasm proper is nearly two miles, and the journey by boat through its marvelous flume is 
 without its equal, and entirely unique in its character. 
 
 Leave Port Kent Saturday afternoon for Montreal, which will be reached via Grand 
 Trunk Railway same night, remaining until Monday evening, ample time for visiting the 
 many places of interest for which the Canadian Metropolis is famous, among which are 
 the Nunneries and its magnificent churches, the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Notre Dame, 
 the largest in America, is more remarkable for its size (it can seat 12.000 persons) than its 
 beauty. 
 
 Leave Montreal Monday evening via South Eastern Railway for Lake Memphremagog, 
 reaching Newport 10.45 P- M*> remaining at this beautiful resort until Tuesday afternoon, 
 during which time a Steamboat excursion will be made over the picturesque parts of this 
 lovely sheet of water. 
 
Leaving Newport in the afternoon for the White Mountains, Fabjan's will be reached at 
 5.50 P. M., where we will remain until Thursday morning; as this is in the heart of the 
 White Mountains all places of interest are easily reached therefrom, including the Summit 
 of Mt. Washington via Mt. Washington Railway. 
 
 Leave Fabyan's Thursday morning, passing through the romantic White Mountain 
 Notch, over the most picturesque part of the Portland & Ogdensburg R. R., thence over the 
 Boston & Maine R. R. , reaching Worcester at 5.34 P. M. 
 
 ITINERARY. 
 
 Thursday, Sept. 1. — Leave Worcester by the Fitchburg R. R., " Hoosac Tunnel Line," 
 at 8.15 A. M., provision will be made for carrying such baggage as the party may 
 have with them, in the Car, avoiding the necessity of having it checked. Tags with the 
 owner's name and home address, should be plainly written thereon and attached to each 
 piece, to serve as a ready means of identification. All meals are to be served in the Car at 
 regular hours, of which proper notification will be given. Arrive at Saratoga 4.25 P. M., 
 via D. & H. C. Co. R. R. The Car will stand at the Railway Station, easy of access : 
 occupants can go and come at their pleasure. 
 
 Friday, Sept 2. — at Saratoga. 
 
 Saturday. Sept. 3. — Leave Saratoga at 1.35 A. M. via D. & H. C. Co. R. R., arrive at 
 Port Kent 5.25 A. M., after breakfast take stage to the Lake View House, visit Ausable 
 Chasm, returning to Port Kent, leaving at 7.10 P. M. for Rouse's Point, thence via Grand 
 Trunk Railway to Montreal, arriving at 10 40 P. M. 
 
Sunday Sept. 4. — At Montreal. 
 
 Monday, Sept. 5. — At Montreal, leave at 7.45 P. M. via South Eastern Railwaj', arrive 
 at Newport, Lake Memphremagog 10.45 P- M. 
 
 Tuesday, Sept. 6. — Steamboat Excursion on Lake Memphremagog, leave Newport at 
 1.03 P. M. via Passumpsic R. R., arrive at Fabyan's 5.50 P. M. 
 
 Wednesday, Sept. 7.— At Fabyan's. 
 
 Thursday, Sept. 8. — Leave Fabyan's at 9.35 A. M. via Portland & Ogdensburg R. R., 
 passing through the famous White Mountain Notch to North Conway, thence via Boston 
 & Maine R. R. arriving at Worcester 5.34 P. M. 
 
 The price of Tickets for the entire trip from Worcester back to Worcester is Forty- 
 Six Dollars. This sum will cover all transportation by rail. Berths in Palace Hotel 
 Car. Meals served en-route. Stage at Ausable Chasm, admission fees, and Excursion by
