These Generators have been in use for fifteen or twenty years, and we have found, after careful research and considerable experience, may be advantageously used for low-pressure warming; they require the least attention in cleaning, are durable, and quite economical. The Fire Grate is the same as used in Base-burning Coal Stoves, and is known as the Basket Shaking Grate. These Generators will burn either hard or soft coal, but are particularly recommended for soft coal. We have tested the Generator to 80 lbs. per square inch hydraulic pressure ; but would not recommend a higher working pressure than 15 lbs. We are now making them for the general trade, and will put the name of the purchaser on the fire door, if requested, without charge. Dimensions. The extensive and very satisfactory use of our Radiators, Coils and Screens, by the Steam Fitting Trade of the Northwest, during the past twelve years, is conclusive evidence of their superiority. It is therefore unnecessary to make any very extended remarks in this Catalogue; but we will say that we are now manufacturing a large number of new sizes, from entirely new and original designs, which, for beauty of finish and elegance of style, are not equaled by any in the market. The growing demand for these goods is such that we have been obliged to make extensive arrangements for their manufacture, which places us in a position to supply them in large quantities, and at short notice. Our enlarged facilities for manufacturing enable us to make low prices to the trade. We invite your attention to the following pages. Crane Bros. Manfg. Co., Chicago. 97 V r' Radiators. Our Valves are made with a male thread to correspond with the size of the inlet, and with a left female thread on the lower part of the valve, to connect with the mains. In ordering Radiators it is necessary to be explicit in stating the size of inlets and outlets, and if they should be at opposite ends or not. Radiators two tubes wide are usually made with inlets and outlets at opposite ends. Radiators four tubes wide may have both these connec- tions at same end. 7 r J 98 Craxe Bros. Maxfg. Co., Chicago. We make a specialty of the manufacture of these Goods, both Plain and Ornamental, and believe we can satisfy you that it will be to your advantage to purchase directly of us in preference to making them. Coils made to order, of intermediate lengths from those described in list, will be furnished at same price per foot as the next length shorter. Our Coils are made of whole pipe, no couplings being used. In the Box Coils we now use Slats (as shown) instead of Stands, as formerly. We keep material in stock for the immediate manufacture of most of the sizes named in Tables, and can usually fill an order upon short notice.
