BUFFALO PUBLIC LIBRARY CITY AFFAIRS MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT AND ADMINISTRATION 1 © The present list is based on the “Selected list of municipal and civic books,” 2d ed., published by the American City Bureau. It includes but a small part (about 475 books) of the extensive literature on the subject. At the end of each group of references the headings of the Dic¬ tionary Catalog are given under which additional material may be traced. The topical arrangement has been adopted for economic reasons, and the headings of the original list have been retained even when they varied from those chosen for the Dictionary Catalog as possibly closer to familiar use. Besides the books and pamphlets listed in the Catalog there is much material, some of it of value, in the magazines. Clues may be had to these articles through indexes in the Reference Department. If the books are not on the shelves when wanted, readers are asked to leave requests for them so that a notice may be sent to them when the books are available. 57861 CITY AFFAIRS MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT AND ADMINISTRATION Accidents.
