 It has boon determined that the active period cf the Japanese * 
 beetle in its relation to f raits ancl vegetables has already ceased 
 for the ] resent season and that it is therefore safe to porr.it the 
 unrestricted movement 0-1 fruits and v etables fro::: the regulated 
 areas. Therefore, pursuant to the authority conferred upon the 
 Chief of the Buroau of Entomology and Plant Quarantine by the fourth 
 proviso of § 301. US, Chapter III, Title- 7, Code of Federal Regula- 
 tions [Notice of Quarantine No. kS on account of the Japanese boetl ] 
 it is ort rod that the restrict! as on the interstate movement of 
 fruits and vegetables imposed by § 301#^S-5 of Notice of Quarantine 
 Ho. US, revised effective February 12 f 19^-1, be removed effective on 
 and after September 3, 19U1. This order advances the termination of 
 
 the restrictions as to fruits and vegetables provided for in 
 § 301.U3-5 fron October le tc September 8, 19U1 , and applies to 
 this season only.
