These are in every respect strictly first-class Paints, com- posed of pure linseed oil and the highest grade of pigments. They are combined by processes exclusively our own, and are unequaled by any in richness and permanency of color. As these Paints are more finely ground than any others, the great difference in their covering properties in comparison with ordinary paint is at once recognized and the universal testi- mony is that from fifteen to twenty-five per cent, of the usual cost of painting can be saved by their use.. They are prepared ready for the brush, in fifty-six . shades and. standard colors, and are sold by U. S. standard gallon measure, which contains from 8 to 12 percent, more Ilian is usually sold for a gallon. One gallon will cover from 275 to 300 square feet, two coats, without thinning, and can be safely thinned with '/ 2 gallon pure linseed oil to one gallon of paint for first coat. Composed of pure colors and the best preservative ma- terials known. Prepared ready for use, in twenty colors. One gallon will “dip” about 500 shingles or cover 200 square feet of surface. This paint is manufactured by an entirely different process than any other oxide of iron, and is superior in color (a rich dark red) to any other metallic paint. It is ground very fine, and mixes readily with raw or boiled oil. Dry, in kegs, half-barrels and barrels, from 100 to 300 pounds each. When used on wliitewood, pine, etc., or properly prepared painted surfaces, they form a perfect representa- tion of the natural wood. Taking into consideration their covering capacity they are the most economical Stains in the market. One quart will cover about Soo square feet. PASTE. — We also supply these Stains in form of a stiff paste, to be thinned as desired with turpentine. One pound will produce over one quart of strong stain. In i, 5 and 25 lb. cans. GROUND.
