D n 1 ADING H BEADING APPLE PARER. Patented March 2nd, 1369, May 17th, 1870, June 7th, 1870. The above cut represents our new Apple Parer, for which we claim the following advantages over all other parers in the market. 1st. It takes oft' a thinner paring, and is more uniform and regular in .<« . its movements. I ||/ J’ 2nd. The paring is carried over the. shield plate, and clear of the machinery. 3rd. As soon as the apple has been nicely pared, the arm (as shown by the above cut) pushes the apple off' the prongs of the fork into the receptacle below. This machine has been thoroughly tested during the season of 1870, and has given everywhere universal satisfaction, and in all cases has been given the preference over all other Apple Parers. The above cut represents a hay fork and general hoisting pulley, for which we have applied for a patent, anil which we believe the best constructed, for the purpose, of any in the market. It is very wide on the face, and has a deep groove, so it is not possible for the rope to slip off the wheel when in use.
