DIRECTIONS FOR PUTTING UP CRESTING. Put 1 inch blocks, 3 inches square, every '3 or 3 feet apart, and have them tinned over to prevent leaking; then nail on top of them 1 inch strips, 3 inches wide, and set the Cresting on it. If there is a pitch to the roof, the blocks and strips can be beveled off, so as to make it level. For the ridge, a 3 inch strip can be nailed down and the Cresting set on that, this is the way it is generally used; or the Cresting can be made with pitch feet, to go either side of the ridge, costing 15 cents per foot extra. All ridges should be finished off with the top strip flattened about 3 inches, then the ordinary Cresting can be used. Send a Diagram or Plan of the Roof, and we will fit cresting and paint it before shipping, and number each section, so that any one can easily set it in position. DIRECTIONS FOR ORDERING WIRE, BANK AND OFFICE RAILING. I would urgently request parties who favor me with orders for RAILING to use Care in making their measurements perfectly accurate, as it is only made to order and cannot be altered without considerable expense after it is completed. If convenient, send a rough elevation plan of the railing, or simply in ordering give the number or style of railing wanted and the height, and send a diagram, drawing a line showing the grou nd plan of railing, and give exact measurements where the railing is to go, and state which side is the inside of the railing or inside the counter. If there are curves, give the exact radius, and the beginning and ending of the points of the curves, or send a paper pattern cut the exact shape of curve. If cash holes are required, give the size and style wanted, whether with or without doors, locks and glass shelves; and in locating them, give the distance from the end of the railing to the centre of the cash hole, and if you want cash hole to set on the counter ; if not, how many inches from the counter to the bottom of the cash hole. Square or Ogee shape return ends are convenient and a protection to valuables inside the railing. In ordering these, give the width of counter or length required. If gates are wanted please state exact location and size, whether single or double, and which way to swing. Advise if any portion of the railing is to stand independent, or if the ends can be fastened to the wall, and whether it is brick, wood or plaster. By observing all these directions there will be no delay occasioned in writing for them, and I will guaran- tee satisfaction and a perfect fit in every case. For Wire Office Partitions to set on the floor, observe the same rules in ordering and say. upon which side of the door you wish the key hole, and state which way it should swing. First— It obliges the animal to eat its feed slowly, because it has to work to get its feed. While doing this it is masticating what it already has in its mouth, consequently no food goes to its stomach not properly masti- cated. It therefore produces better results with less feed. Second— T he animal cannot plow through it and waste feed. Third— B eing of metal, it will not sour, and admits of feeding any kind of food. Fourth— With all of these advantages it costs little more than any other metal box. Price, japanned each, $3 00 No. 35 Soap Dish. Japanned 40c galvanized. 4 75 No. 66 Corner Salt Dish.
