■Ty'l cyl N O R A cTVI I C -19 12 Kd I HE successful decorator must be ever on the alert for new and up-to-date material. With the advent of the new leather and textile effects for sidewall decoration he finds it necessary to utilize more or less fresco or mural work, for the frieze or upper wall, in order to carry out a harmonious treatment. In presenting the friezes illustrated on the following pages we offer the decorator a material that is equal, if not superior, to fresco or mural decoration, at but a fraction of its cost. This material is carried in stock, complete as to design and coloring, this advantageous feature enabling the decorator to submit to the customer the finished decoration instead of a small sketch, which must afterward be worked out by the fresco artist and with the final result in doubt. The friezes are printed in sections, each section being five feet in length and varying in width from twenty to sixty inches. The sections are interchangeable, thus allowing considerable latitude in arrangement, which feature does away with the necessity of cut¬ ting into prominent portions of the decoration to accommodate openings. There are six sections or thirty feet to each roll, the repetition of design varying from five to thirty feet. The designs running thirty feet without repeat are made with an extension to match, by the introduction of which they can be used on any room of ordin¬ ary dimensions without repetition of the pattern. One of these sections is an elastic section and can be cut down from its original length of five feet to a fraction of an inch, which completes the frieze in any instance without mismatching.
