Mr. Wm. H. Webbs Collection of / H i-:nrv D. Miner, Auc CnONIUCR, Office and Art (Tallery, 845 Jh'oadivay. NOTE. The Pictures embraced in this collection were either painted expressly to order for the present owner, or purchased direct from the studios of the Artists, with few exceptions ; as examples of the characteristic styles of the several Masters, they are unexcelled by any specimens in the country. The sale offers to connoisseurs, especially in the foreign schools, an exceedingly rare opportunity of obtaining genuine original works, of great artistic merit, and possessing intrinsic and increasing value ; many of the Artists represented being now deceased, and their paintings con- sequently becoming more difficult to obtain. It is deemed unnecessary to accompany the Paintings with critical or commendatory remarks, the Artists represented holding, generally the highest rank in their respective schools, and are familiar to all amateurs of modern art. Their works are now rarely to be found on sale in Eu- rope, and when offered command very high prices. / HENRY D. MINER, - Auctioneer, Late Henry H. Leeds & Miner.
