ARTICLE II. HAZARDOUS ASSURANCES are Assurances on timber or plaster Buildings, covered with Slate, Tile, or Metal, wherein no hazardous Trades are carried on, nor any hazardous Goods deposited; and on Goods or Merchandises, not hazardous, in such timber or plaster Buildings; and also on hazardous Trades, such as Cabinet and Coach Makers, Carpenters, Coopers, Bread and Biscuit Bakers, Ship and Tallow Chandlers, Soap-Makers, Innholders, Sail-Makers, Maltsters, and Stable-keepers, carried on in brick or stone Buildings, covered with Slate, Tile, or Metal; and on hazardous Goods, such as Hemp, Flax, Rosin, Pitch, Tar, and Turpentine, deposited in such Buildings J the Stock in Trade of Apothecaries, also on Ships, and all manner of Water-Craft^in Harbour, in Dock, or while building, and on thatched Buildings, which have not a Chimney, and which do not adjoin to any Building having a Chimnev ARTICLE III. J DOUBLV-HAZARDOUS ASSURANCES are Assurances on any of the afore¬ said hazardous Trades carried on, or hazardous Goods deposited, in timber or plaster Buildings, covered with Slate, Tile, or Metal; on Glass, China, and Earthen-Ware; also on thatched Buildings,or Gpods therein, (except as in the preceding Article,) and on Salt-Petre, with the Buildings containing the same. ' P A R TICLE VIIL v ; TO PREVENT FRAUDS, if any Person assuring Property with this Company shall at any l ime assure the same elsewhere, the Policy shall in such Case be null and void, unless the same is allowed by Endorsement thereon ; and, in Case of Loss or Damage, the Company will then pay no more than v thgii; rateable Proportion thereof, according to the several Sums assured ; or if the Assured shall describe his Buildings or Goods otherwise than as they really are, so that the same be charged at a lower Premium than is herein specified, the Policy shall also be null and void; or if a, Building shall at any Time be in the Possession, of, or let to, any Person who shall use or exercise therein any hazardous Trade , or shall be made Use of for the Stowing of any hazardous Goods, or shall contain any Kiln, Furnace, Steam-Engine, Stove, or Oven , used in the Process of any Manufactory, unless Mention be made thereof in the Policy , and the Rate for such extraordinary Hazard be duly paid , the Policy shall likewise be null and void in respect to such Building and Goods therein. A RTICLE IX. NO LOSS OR DAMAGE BY FrRE, happening by any Invasion, Foreign Lnemy, Riot, or Civil Commotion, or by any military or usurped Power whatsoever is,to be made good. ; N ■ * ARTICLE X. / , ALL PERSONS, ASSURED by this Corporation, are, upon any Loss or Damage by Lire, forthwith to give Notice thereof to the Office on the Royal-Exchange , London , or to the known Agents of the said Corporation- and, within Fifteen Days after such Fire, deliver in as particular an Account of their Loss or Damage as the Nature of the C ^f wilLadaiit:^ and make Proof of the same, by their Oath or Affirmation, and that of their Domestics or Servants, and by their Books of Accounts, or such other proper Vouchers as may be required ; and also to procure a Certificate, under the Hands of the Minister, Church-Wardens, and some other reputable Inhabitants, of the Parish where such Fire shall have happened, who are not concerned in such Loss, importing, that they are well acquainted wfh tlie Character and Circumstances of the Sufferer or Sufferers; and do know, or verily believe, that he, she, or they, have, really and by Misfortune, sustained by such Fire, the Loss and Damage to the Amount of such Sum as shall be claimed by the Assured, and which Sum shall be stated in the Certificate. In Case any Difference shall arise touching any Loss or Damage, such Difference shall be submitted to the Judgement aiKl.Determination of Arbitrators indifferently chosen, whose Award in Writing shall be conclusive and binding to all Parties. But, if there 3lmil appear any Fraud or False-Swearing, the Claimant shall forfeit all Benefit of his Claim. And, when any Loss or Damage is settled and adjusted, the Sufferer or Sufferers are to receive immediate Satisfaction for the same, without any Deduction. *** This Corporation will allow all reasonable Charges, or any Loss, attending the Removal of Goods, provided the Danger shall appear to have been such as to justify the Removal.
