IRosa Xee Oxe r. [From Junior Builders, August, 1897.] Rosa Lee Oxer was born May 5, 1868, in Preble county, Ohio. After finishing the course taught in the country schools, she entered the Richmond normal school and took a three- years’ course, graduating at the age of seven¬ teen. She then taught two years in a district school. Not feeling satisfied with her educa¬ tion, she took a three-years’ course in the In¬ diana State University. During those three years she became a Christian, and fully decided to study for the foreign missionary work. She next went to Cornell, N. Y., to take one year in post-graduate work, but owing to poor health, she returned home before the year closed. After this she studied medicine for one year, at Hiram College, Hiram, Ohio, and then went to Cleveland, where she finished her course with honors. On the 4th of November, 1896, she left the home of her childhood and her friends, to work in Mahoba, India, for the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. May the Lord be with her and protect and guide her through this un¬ even journey of life, is the prayer of her mother. Campbellstown, O. LuCINDA P. OxER.
