And whereas feverall, fummes Afleffed within the City and Liberties thereof, are yet in Arrear, and unpaid, by reafon of difaffedion to the Parlia¬ ment, and feme other Obftrudlions, vV(. And they are likewife here¬ by authorized to execute arid, perforate all and every tiie Powersand Authorities comprizedinthe faid Ordi¬ nances or any.ofthem,for and concerning the collecting and leavying ofthe faid Alfelfements^o made as afore- laid, in as foil and ample.manner to all intents and pur- ■pofes, as any the Committee or Commiffioners in the laid Ordinances named, or any of them might or could doe or perform the fame.. And in cafe thefaidCom- miifipners.-of Aldermen arid Commons, lhall find any perfons_ obftinately refuting the payment of their Alfefiements, according to the limitations aforefaid, and by their evil! examples become an incouragement unto others todoe the like^and thereby Ihew their dif- afie&ion to the Parliament, That then the faid Com- mittec of Aldermen and Commons, or any fix of them, lhall prefent the Names of fuch perfons fo refofing and the feverall fummes by them in Arreare according to the faid AflelTements ? And fuch other forfeitures as are exprefled in the laid Ordinances, or . .. any any of them incurrd,for non-payment thereof unto the fcveraU Committees for Sequeftration of thefaid City and Counties, where fuch perfon and perfons fo refufing fhall have any Effete j And the faid Com¬ mittee for Sequeftration are hereby authorized and'ap- pointed to leavy fuch; fumme and fummes of money,, as are fo prefented untothem to be unpaid by fuch per¬ fon and perfons fo returned, together with fuch penal¬ ties^ forfeitures, andiother charges, as by the Ordi¬ nances of Sequeftration is limited and’appointed, and that the faid Committee of Sequeftration fo leavying: the faid monies,. retaining to- themfelves and their Officers fuch allowance for the leavying thereof,; as by thefaid refpe&ive Ordinances for Sequeftration is- allowed unto them, , fhall pay the remainder unto Sir lehn Wotthfton- Knight,, and the reft of the Treafu- rcrs at Warre.. And it is alfo Ordained- 1 ,, and the Treafurers at Warre are hereby authorized to pay from time to time,, unto fuch Clerks and Officers as fhall bee imployed in the faid fcrvice,fuch allowances? as the Committee before named, fhall feverally and re- fpeftivelyagreeupon and prefent unto the faid Treafu¬ rers, not exceeding three pence inthe pound, forfuchi monyes as fhall bee collected after the palling of this .
