RUSTIC AND ANTIQUE CAMES The charm and distinctive qualities of hand-wrought leaded win- dows has no doubt appealed to architects and interior decorators as a desirable decorative feature for homes and many public build- ings. But the lack of artisans who can do this kind of work has precluded its use to any great extent. [t is now possible to obtain the exact effects found heretofore only in the hand-wrought cames. The soft, curving, irregular outline so much desired, as well as the hand-made surface effect, can be had in every length of Rustic and Antique Cames, with the fur- ther certainty that no two pieces will ever be exactly alike. The Rustic and Antique Cames illustrated in this folder are the result of extensive research. They are not intended to be repro- ductions of any particular period of the art, but were designed with the idea of getting away from the mechanically perfect cames and to preserve the feeling and atmosphere of the old craftsmanship. The irregularity of Rustic and Antique Cames, both in outline and surface effect, adds interest to any leaded window, no matter how simple the design. It adds motion and life to the window. And the result is a note of quaintness so desirable in any home and many public buildings. FGic rLY ALIKE The Rustic and Antique Cames as we manufacture them are not only interesting because of their irregularity, but because of the fact that no two pieces are exactly alike. There 1s not even monotony in their irregularity, every came presenting a slightly different de- sign. The charm of hand-work and the interest that 1t always arouses is thus assured. These cames add interest to the plainer forms of glazing, such as rectangles and diamonds. They soften what otherwise would be uninteresting straight lines. Four sizes are furnished reinforced. This consists of a steel bar em- bedded between two hearts and milled in, making it water and airtight, and preventing any chance of corrosion of the steel bar. The plain is a single heart came without reinforcement. f me RUSTIC —Reinforced ANTIQUE— Plain Either Rustic or Antique Cames may be had in the following sizes: 34 x 846” Plain 58" x 34,” Reinforced 34”x 3%" Reinforced 1¥g"”x3%”" Plain 348" x38" Plain 144"x 3%" Reinforced 58" x38” Reinforced 34" x 3%" Plain 9" x 3% Plain The weights per six foot lengths of Rustic and An- tique Cames are as follows: Size Weight Size Weight 34™x¥6" P 3102. 58”x%%" R 3214 072.
