If calcimine is very thick it can be easily removed with a wall scraper. All cracks and holes in the plaster should be filled with plaster paris. TO MAKE SIZE. Size is made by soaking a pound of glue twelve hours in cold water and adding twelve quarts of hot water and a tablespoonful of powdered alum. TO MAKE A BUCKET OF PASTE. To make a bucket of paste use a cheap grade of rye or wheat flour, mix thoroughly with cold water to about the consistency of dough, or a little thinner, being careful to remove all lumps; stir in a tablespoonful of pow- dered alum to a quart of flour, then pour in boiling water, stirring rapidly until the flour is thoroughly cooked.
