Exten., in the is organized under the Constitution of the University and School Extension, to which is added as a part of the same, the following Constitution : The immediate design of this Society is the organization of the work and workers in the department of MEMBERS. The members of this Society shall be the members of the faculties approved by the Executive Committee of the National Board, that is the faculty of University Extension, one professor from each of the universities represented in the first organization, and others, and the faculty of School Extension, not exceeding in number the faculty of University Extension, and one or more rep- resentatives, as the Society may determine, from each College Society regularly organized under the Constitution of the Extension. The Executive Committee of the National Board of Directors may nominate, and, by -and with the advice and consent of the Executive Committee of the Society may appoint to honorary CoPTKiGHT, 1890, by Sbth T, Stb-wart Sec'y. UNIVERSITY AND SCHOOL EXTENSION. membership in the Society any one eminently distinguished in the pursuit of the subject matter of the department. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. The officers shall be a President, Vice-President , a Treasurer, and Secretar , whose duties shall be the or- dinary duties of said officers, and who, with others, if any, elected as such, shall constitute the Executive Committee. This Committee under the general direction of the Society shall have control of the affairs of the Society. MEETINGS. The number of meetings, and the time, and place of meeting shall be determined by the By-Laws. At the annual meeting, every second year, the election of officers shall take place. At the meetings, the Society shall discuss and adopt plans for courses of study, lecture schedules, lesson outlines, courses of reading, and correspondence, and formulate plans as to re- views, collections, libraries, investigations, and examinations. The courses of study, the examinations, and the certificates, however, in the work of University Extension, and School Exten- sion, shall be in the exclusive control of their respective faculties. BY-LAWS. The Society may make, and, at any time with due notice to its members and favorable action at two successive regular meetings, it may change its By-Laws. In the interest of uniformity, the By- Laws, and the Rules and Regulations adopted by the Society, shall however, be subject to approval by the Executive Committee of the National Board of Directors.
