Those days oi bright hopes, freedom from serious responsibility, warm friendships, and enthusiastic enjoyments will always linger in the memory like a sweet savor, it is true, but how much more effectively il given tangible form ! The designer of this volume has realized that the conventional "Journal" is too dry and unattractive to be popular, despite its value, and that a record of school daws should be characteristic and unique, to command attention, and as dainty and pleasing as possible, to make it worth keeping. It is believed that the result of her efforts will be welcomed now, and thankfully regarded in distant years. The title does restrict it to "college" girls, strictly speaking, but it will be valuable, as well as entertaining, for any who leave home as students. a^g M§TBTOTD@ h/k AwdwiL When tikst i -Sought the academic toWNtj- / Let /at Pass with a glasT For the class of UsJERS>y Lie the he^ds of Those Who RuLE His most of ALL WHOSE klNGDOM is a 5CHoo| Theirs Buxon health of rosy hue, WiLd WiT, INWENTiOM E\/ER NEW, fltJD LIVELY CHEER ofv/itOuR, 50RN « DERNEftTH THE RO S£ ©on mr ur Hftppy y Efl fu together, STORM f\N£> SUNSHINE TRIED.,, HUM '') NOT 7RIEND THOUSAND FRIENDS SPAKE., NovJ GOOD DIGESTION WflIT OH f\P?ZJ\T£ A^ HEALTH oM FOTI-j | (/ 00 COAlE,/nY SWEET COLLECTOR T r RIENJ)S" J 7~§| Mnd LISTEN WHILE \ 5ING TO VOUff DELECTATION ThiS BRIEF, "Pathetic thine.— ,. oo\{e /\n J) 4 jh^HiE i\JooKe now I IS DEEDS MUST WIN THE PRIZE » 23^- UrEWELL ! y^T LET ONE ECHO Kl$£ T*> SHAKE OuR ANCIENT HALL; GoD SWE THE quEEW,— wHolET THROVE IS HERE,- THEfloTHeR opui /fix!
