THE Committee appointed by the Ladies' Centennial Commis- sion of Boston to arrange for a temporary and special museum of relics of the Revolutionary period of 1775, having accepted the house 56 Beacon Street, kindly tendered them for this object, pro- pose to open it on the 14th of June, to continue one week. Persons having in their possession such relics are earnestly re- quested to lend them to this interesting exhibition. Portraits of distinguished jDatriots or loyalists, arms, furniture, clothing, china, silver or glass ware, or ornaments will be gratefully received. Auto- graph letters or documents of the period are also desiied. From the number of such objects known to exist it is beheved that this exhibition can be made both attractive and instructive, and, as it is the first of the kind in Boston, it should be of such a character as to assume historic importance. Glass cases will be provided, securely fastened, and the whole collection will be under the constant supervision of the Committee with special and trusty custodians both day and night. The house will be open in the day-time only, and neither gas nor fire will be allowed upon the premises. Persons disposed to aid the project of the Committee will please notify Dr. Samuel A. Green, Massachu- setts Historical Society, 30 Tremont Street, or any of the Commit- tee, or to the Centennial Rooms, State House. Such notice should be given promptly, as it is important to complete the arrangements before the day of opening. The fire-proof vaults of Messrs. Bige- low, Kennard, & Co. are at the disposal of the Committee for the reception and deposit of such valuable objects as may be immedi- ately tendered or need subsequent care. All articles should be plainly marked with the name and address of the owner. Careful transportation, if desired, will be furnished. The net proceeds of the exhibition will be placed at the disposal of the Ladies' Centennial Commission of Boston for the object which they have in charge. It is confidently hoped that this project will commend itself to'the people of Boston and of the State. The exhibition will be opened on Monday, at 4 p. m., witli some brief remarks by the Rev.
