The relief laws contained herein include the Emergency Relief and Construction Act of 1932 and all laws setting up and appropriating funds to the Federal Emergency Relief Adrainistra^ tion, the Civil Works Administration, the Works Progress Ad¬ ministration and the Work Projects Administration. The laws are arranged chronologically, each appearing on a separate page. In each case the information presented falls in three parts as follows: (1) The title of the act, the public law number and the statutory ci¬ tation. (3) A chronology in tabular form which shows each legislative action and the date on which it took place. BgRGEKCY RELICT* AND CONSTRUCTION ACT Of 1932 (Public—No. 302—72nd. Cong.) (47 Stat* 709 Ch. 520) Title I authorizes the Reconstruction Finance Corpcration to make available $300,000,000 to States and Territories to be used for relief and work relief to ■needy and distressed people." It provides that all amounts paid under this section shall bear interest at rate of 3% per annum and stipulates that not more than 15^ of such sum is available to any one State or Territory.
