The release must be executed in duplicate, the original attached to the way-bill to accompany the freight to destination, ami the duplicate filed at the station for record. When shippers refuse to sign a release for perishable freight, or for other freight repairing a release, the charges must in all cases be prepaid to destination and at the increased rates for shipments not released. If a connecting line offers such freight without release, Agent must decline to receive or forward it, until the necessary conditions are complied with. At a station from which frequent shipments of perishable freight are made, Agent must, if possible, obtain from shippers annual release in duplicate; the original being sent to Freight Auditor, and duplicate retained as part of the station record. When shipments are made under annual release, notation to that effect must be made on shipping bill, shippers' receipt or bill of lading and way-bill. Freight liable to 20. Agent must count and know by examination, that he ceiA^trf(Í®h,m¡s| receives all the freight he receipts for, and that the marks agree have been received with the marks called for by the shipping bill. He must also see that the contents are correctly described in the shipping bill, and must satisfy himself by personal inspection, opening the pack¬ ages if necessary, in the presence of witnesses, and if found to be falsely represented, must make correction accordingly. 28. General terms, such as "Merchandise" or "Grain," must not of carUmust°bèenlS be used, but the actual contents of packages or cars must be shown, shown. When a shipment consists of different sized packages of the same kind of freight, the number and weight of the different sizes must also be shown. 29. Agent must not accept freight at shipper's load and count, when it is possible to tally the same. 30. Agent must not sign shipping bills, shippers' receipts or or bii'i^oMadin bills of lading furnished by shippers, without examination to see furnished by that they agree with the form furnished by the Company, that the shipper, rate inserted is correct, and that the freight described corresponds with the actual freight received. Shipping bills, shippers' receipts or bills of lading for shipments on which transit privileges are allowed, must not be made beyond the point at which the milling or other transit privilege is given. 31. Correct weights must be obtained by Agent at station where Correct weights track or other scales can be used. Shipments of grain to Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, or Minneapolis, or shipments of live stock to points on this Railway at which packing houses are in operation (see Rules 107 and 108), need not be weighed, as destination weights will be used by receiv¬ ing Agent and forwarding Agent notified. This will also apply on business covered by grain transit privileges. This exception does not cover shipments of grain or live stock consigned to points on foreign lines. When the tariff names a rate per package or per car load, shipments need not be weighed. When track or other scales in use get out of order, Agent must at once call the attention of both Superintendent and Division Freight Agent to the fact.
