New York &£ London Copyright, 1925, by HENRY EDWARD TRALLE PRINTED IN VU. 8S. A. Dedicated TO MY PARENTS, HENRY AND CATHERINE ELIZABETH TRALLE, WHO, BY EXAMPLE AND PRECEPT, TAUGHT ME MANY OF THE TRUTHS PRESENTED IN THIS BOOK. ant A tae 4 FOREWORD I have been asked, on many occasions, by many individuals, to write this book, and the appreci- ative response accorded its contents, when pre- sented in the form of lectures in schools and conferences, encourages me to hope that these laws of leadership may attain a wider usefulness in this printed form. The book is an attempt to present the assured. results of scientific psychology briefly, clearly, dynamically, and inspirationally, for the assist- ance of maturer young people and those adults who are not too old or too wise to learn and to grow, and it is hoped that the personal note so frequently struck in these pages will serve to enhance the practical value of their intimate messages. If somebody had done for me, twenty-five years ago, what I, in this book, have tried to do for others, I think I should have been deeply grateful, and that I should have been saved from many mistakes and failures.
