Pictures Nos. 1 to 73 (inclusive) were purchased with the house, 49, Grosvenor Street, London, W., in 1888. Pictures Nos. 74 to 87 (inclusive) formed a portion of the collection of Sir David Salomons, M.P., which was left to his second wife. These were purchased by his nephew from Lady Salomons’ executors after her death in 1892. The remaining pictures were purchased by Sir David Salomons since the year 1888, with the exception of No. 89, which was a wedding present from Mr. Edward Wagg. Catalogue 2. WATEf* COliOUl^S. Pictures Nos. 1 to 83 (inclusive) were purchased with the house, 49, Grosvenor Street, London, W., in 1888. The remainder were collected by Sir David Salomons. Catalogue. 3. Engravings No. 1 to No. 41 were purchased with the house, 49, Grosvenor Street, London, W., in 1888. Nos. 66 and 67 formed part of the collection of Sir David Salomons, M.P. Nos. 68 and 69 belonged to the same collection, but were left to his second wife and afterwards given to Sir D. Salomons, M.P., nephew by Mr. Joseph Salomons.
