CONDITIONS OF SALE, I. The highest Bidder to be the Buyer; and if any Dispute arise between two or more Bidders, the Lot or Lots so disputed shall be immediately put up again, and re-sold. II. No Person to advance less than 6d. above Five Pounds, 2s. 6d. and so on in proportion. III. The Purchasers to give in their Names and Places of Abode, and to pay down 5s. in the Pound in Part of Pay- ment of the Purchase-money ; in Default of which, the Lot or Lots so purchased to be immediately put up again, and re-sold. GEm CENTER LIBRARY The Collection of Drawings^ now offered to the pnbliC;, was begun to be formed by Mr. Knapton^ in Italj;, prior to the year 1730, and from that period to the time of his death, he embraced every opportunity of enriching it, both at home and abroad. I It was further augmented by a consider- able Legacy from John Howard, Esq. a , gentleman, of the law, one of the most ' eminent connoisseurs of his time. Mr. Knapton died in 1778, bequeathing his Collection to the late General Morrison, and it is now laid before the Public without the smallest addition or diminution whatr ever. J^OTE. .
