Thefe three laft Articles were found together in an Antient Sepulchre between the Town of Polifthene, and the City of Lecce in Puglia A fmall Bas Relief reprefenting Two Satyrs in Marble, of the firft Grecian Sculpture An 'Antique Bull of Caligula, in Bronze, purchafed from the Colledlion of Prince CalTano d’Arragona, at Naples A fmall Antique Bull of Bafalt and Rofe Antique. It is a Portrait, and refembles the Bull of Cicero. It was found at Rome A beautiful Bull of Marble, of excellent Grecian Sculpture : It belonged to Cicero, and was dug up from the Ruins of his Villa of Formia:, near Gaeta A charming Figure of Ifis, in white Marble, with the Lotus in her right Hand, her Hair in Ringlets over her Shoulders ; the Sculpture is in the antient Greek Style. It was dug up near the City of Capua A Figure in white Marble, reprefenting Bacchus, ora Prieft of Bacchus. It is the Companion of the former, is Antique, and in the fame Style of Sculpture it was found at Rome' A Bafs-relief, in white Marble, reprefenting Bacchus and ^the Goddefs Meta. It was found at St: Maria di Capua, the Spot on which antient Capua ftcod. This is certainly one of the moft pleafing Antient ai>d well preferved Bas-reliefs that has been fnatched from all-devouring Time An /Egyptian Antique Lion in Bafalt, found in th.e Ruins of Auguftus’s Houfe i-n Caprea An Antique Head of Nero, in Porphyry, the Buft added at Rome, in Bronze Gilt, by Luigi, after the Antique. This celebrated Buft was found at Naples, and was in the Pofleflion of the Prince Caftarvo d’Arragona. This IS a noble Portrait, and Dobfonjuftly acquired the Title of the Englifh V. Dyck 50 His Original Baccanle, painted on Pannel. This PtcElure has for many Years met with the univerial approbation of the Dilettanti in Italy, and was Engraved before it went Abroad 51 A Landfcape with Six Ducks, on Board, a charming little Pifture, from the Colledion of Prince Sacchi, at Naples 52 A fine Battle Piece 53 A Sketch on Pannel, the Portrait of one of his Wives,^ the fame that is painted at full length in a PicSure belonging to the Earl of Bute. This is, perhaps,, one of the beft hiftorical Piaures he ever painted ; the Drawing.is excellent, and the back Ground is managed with wonderful Art ; it was probably painted soon after his Return from Venice,, when his mind was full of the ideas of the Venetian and Lombard Schools 61 A Sleeping Girl, two Cupids flying over, and drawing up a Curtain, in order to let her feel the Influence of the Flame on the Altar of Love, of which flte appeared to be already fenfible.
