Peters American Antiques 52 EAST 56th STREET, NEW YORK PLAZA 7527 September 20, 1926 The Anderson Galleries, Inc, 489 Park Avenue New York, N.Y. Dear Sirs: In accordance with the arrangements made with you today, I am Shipping to you by vans the first of the material from my Flushing Shop. As I explained to you, it is impossible for me to give sufficient time and personal attention to two shops. The New York business has grown to the point where it requires all my time and for that reason I am closing my place in Flushing. You will find that the Flushing stock contains items of wide scope and varied interest, representing, as it does, five years of careful selection from the important auction sales, various private sources, and items gathered throughout the New England States. Comparatively few of the many interested buyers of antiques have seen this stock, due to the Flushing location being rather remote from New York City, and I am sure it will meet with the favorable attention of your large clientele, In closing let me say that I am sending the Flushing stock in its entirety, nothing having been withdrawn or reserved, As per our arrangement, this is to be catalogued by your experts.
