The highest bidder to be the buyer, and, in case of dispute between bid- ders, the lot in dispute to be immediately put up and re-sold. 2. Buyers to give their names and addresses, and pay down a cash deposit of 25 cents on the dollar (no deposit of less than $1.00 will be received), or the entire purchase money, if required, in default of which the lot or lots so bought to be immediately put up and re-sold. 3. The buyer to pay the balance of the purchase money in cash at the place of sale 48 hours after the sale ends, and the buyer to remove the goods at his own expense and risk within forty-eight hours after the sale. The auctioneer in no case holds himself responsible if the lots be lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed after the expiration of the 48 hours above mentioned; they will remain at the buyer’s sole risk. 4. No sale ofan article to be set aside on account of any fault or any error in description—the undersigned not being responsible for the correct description, genuineness or authenticity of, or of any fault or defect in any lot, and making no warranty what- ever. All articles are on public view one or more days, {and are SOLD JUST AS THEY ARE, without recourse. 5. Buyers to pay for all lots purchased in full before any one or more lots will be delivered. 6. No article will be taken off the bill of the buyer under any circumstance. The Record of the Sale, kept by the auctioneer’s clerk—together with the catalogue kept by the auctioneer—in all cases to be taken by the buyer as absolute and final in all disputes as to prices, etc. 7. Lots purchased will not be transferred from the bill of the buyer to another person until such lots are paid for in full, or a deposit made on each bill of at least twenty-five per cent. 8. Should a buyer wish a lot sold over for his account, the lot must first be paid for in full. A regular charge of 1214 per cent will be charged by the auctioneer on the gross amount of all sales, the loss or gain to be for the account of the buyer. 9. To prevent inaccuracy and inconvenience, no lot can on any account be removed during the hours of sale. 10. Upon failure to comply with the above conditions, the money deposited in part payment shall be- forfeited; all lots uncleared within the time aforesaid shall be re-sold by public sale, without further notice, and the deficiency (if any) attending such re-sale, shall be made good by the defaulter at this sale, together with all charges attending the same. ‘This condition is without prejudice to the right of the auctioneer to enforce the contract made at this sale, without such re- sale, if he thinks fit. LeEaminc was such that it is unnecessary to comment on the Bric-a-Brac, Books, Prints and Paintings to be sold. The announcement of the sale being sufficient to command the attention of connoisseurs. Moreover, the parties in interest waive their legal rights, having pledged themselves to refrain from making purchases at the sale or restricting it in any manner.
