The attendance was fair, but the bidding lacked spirit. The sixty-six paintings which make up the remainder of the collection will be sold to-night. At the second night’s sale of modern paintings belonging to Prinz Brothers, held last night at James P. Silo’s Fifth Avenue Art Galleries, sixty-five paintings brought |) $27,120, making a total for the entire anit of 129 paintings of $45,375. . The majority of the paintings sold last {| night brought low prices, and as a rule, the bidding was dull, ‘‘ Relaxation,” a 31 by 24 canvas, by Cesare Detti, which was sold to J. H,Luck for $1,500, brought the highest price paid for any single painting in the collection. ‘‘The Last Orders— Manoeuvres .in. the Mountains,” by HE. Berne-Bellecour, was sold to J, Scanlan for | $1,400. ‘Sheep in a »Snowstorm,”’ by Auguste Frederick Albert Schenck, sold for $1,300.
