Medical Directors of Hospitals will instruct Surgeons, in charge of Hospitals to report the names of all able-bodied supernumerary Hospital Stewards, under 45 years of,age, serving in or about hospitals, those not indispensable to be reported supernumerary. Medical Directors will forward to this Office a consolidated report of -Surgeons in charge. II. Medical Directors of Hospitals are directed to instruct the Boards of Medical Examiners under their authority, that all notices of furloughs, for¬ warded in, accordance with Par. VII. G. 0. No. 69, AfJk I. G. 0. 1863, are to be signed by a member of the Board, and not by the clerks, who are for¬ bidden to. sign any official paper whatever. III. The Boards will be further instructed not to sign either certificates, furloughs or notices of furlough, in blank form: the forms are to be pro¬ perly filled out before sigi^ifoire. IV.
