 With the aid she receives from Old North Caroline. 
 
 Mississippi has furnished her thousands of braves, 
 
 Louisiana also her honor will save, 
 
 And our brave Texan Rangers will rally around 
 
 Tlie Arkansas heroes while one can be found. 
 
 Virginia the home of the brave and the free, 
 
 So nobly supported by old Tennessee, 
 
 Will march to the rescue, no hireling shall stand 
 
 On Kentucky's fair soil 'tis our own native land. 
 
 Unhappy Missourri the land so oppressed, 
 We surely will aid you in seeKing redress, 
 And while ever a Hessian traverses your plain, 
 We never shall turn our steps southward again. 
 Oh Maryland, Maryland groan not in chains 
 Before many days we'll restore you again, 
 And your noble sons so undaunted shall dare 
 To claim back the jewel poor lost Delaware. 
 
 Advance noble heroes, advance in your might, 
 « For our cause it is just, and God shields the right, 
 And rest when your banner triumphant shall wave
