Brigade and all special Commander? is called to special orders No. 25 and No. 4G from these Head Quarters, and the rigid observance of those orders will he expected hereafter. II. Pending the consideration and action at these Head Quarter.-, on his application for a leave of absence, no one will be permitted to leave his company, regiment or post, or will be allowed to make a personal ap- plication at these Head Quarters in support of his written application — nor shall this be done indirectly by another party — except in an urgent case based on a Surgeon's certificate requiring immediate action for the safety of the applicant. III. All applications for leaves of absence shall be in writing, and must be transmitted regularly to these Head Quarters, through all inter- mediate commanders of the applicant. Papers not thus transmitted will not be considered. IV. Correspondence with the War Department, or with the Adjutant and Inspector General's Office, or with the General Commanding the Department, by officers or men of this Army Corps, is expressly prohib- ited, except when duly transmitted according to Regulations of the Ar- my, through all intermediate commanders and these Head Quarters. }\y command of Gen.
