 The Commanding General desires yon to require all official letters or papers from 
 officers under your command, destined for the Headquarters of the Virginia Forces, to pass 
 through you and the intermediate commanders : and, as well as those from your own office, to 
 be folded and endorsed in the manner shown by the Form on the back of this communication. 
 When a letter covers only a page, it is desired that a half sheet of paper only should he used.
