 To be ectitled "An act to impose a duty on tobacco and an addi- 
 tional dnty on cotton exported from the Confederate States." 
 
 1 Section 1. T'te Congress of the Confederate States nf America 
 
 2 do enact, Tiiat from and after flie passage of this act, an addi- 
 
 3 tional duty of five cent? per pound shall be levied and collected 
 
 4 and paid on all cotton in the raw :r:tatc exported from the Con- 
 
 5 federate States: and a (Auy of five cents j)or pound on all to- 
 
 6 hacco exported as aforesaid : and the said duties are hereby 
 
 7 made payable in specie or in the coupons of the bonds of the
