 A. BILL 
 
 To raise a tax tor the support of the Government. 
 
 1 Skc HON 1 . The Congress of the Confederate States of America 
 
 2 do nmrt, Tliat all treasury notes outstanding on the first of Jan- 
 
 3 uary next, shall be fundable until the first of July, 1864 : 
 
 4 Provided, That, such of said notes as shall not be funded on or 
 
 5 before the day specified, shall not be received in payment of 
 
 6 public dues, nor be fundable, until after the termination of the 
 
 / war. 
 
 1 Sec. 2, That on all proiits, realized since January, 1861, from 
 
 2 any source -syhatever, there shall be levied a rax of fifty per cent. 
 
 3 in addition to the tax imposed by the act of April, 1S63, pay- 
 
 4 able on the first day of March, 1864: Provided, that those 
 
 5 person? liable to this t.ix, who <lo not pay the same, before the 
 
 6 first of July, 18G 1, shall pay ten per cent, additional for each 
 
 7 month of delay.
