 1 Sko. 3. Be it further enacted, That from the supernumerary 
 
 2 cflicers of the Companies, battalions, regiments and brigades 
 
 thus consolidated, the Preside shall - el I the officers to be

 1 assigned to the tew consolidated organizations: and he may a.-i- 
 
 5 Bign a Brigadier General to die command of a regiment ; but in 
 that case, this officer shall only be entitled to the coramis-

 3 selves into companies, battalions or regiments, in the arm of
