Arrangements having been perfected with the State of Georgia, by which all the Agents of the State for the purchase of Wool have been withdrawn, I hereby give notice to all interested, that no person is authorized to purchase or barter for Wool for either the Confederate or -State account, or for any Factory or Factories in the Oouuties of CHATHAM, LIBERTY. BROOKS, WARE, CAMDEN, SCRIVEN. BULLOCH, THOMAS, CHARLTON, LOWNDES, McINTOSH. • BUUKE, TATTNALL, LMANUEL PIERCE, CLINCH. WAYNE, GLYNN, ECHOLS, BRYAN, APPLING, •EFFINGHAM, COLQUITT, COFFEE BERRIEN, and such portion of Montgomery County as lies east of the Oconee Itiver, except such as hold appointments from inc. Private purchasers and speculators are requested not to come into competition with these Agents, a- the necessity will be forced upon the Confederate Government to impress all Wool held or bought by such parties. The very liberal terms of exchange offered by the Confederate Government, as well as tin' fact that the Wool is wanted for the manufacture ol Clothing for the Soldiers in the field, ought to induce all Wool growers to aid the Government in the securing of Wool, and not force upon its Agents the necessity of impressment, Any person having a detail refusing 1- -ell his Wool to the Confederate States Government, (whether grown by himself or obtained by purchase.) or selling it to otheis than Confedera: Agents, except in small quantities t<> Soldiers families, will forfeil his detail.
