Tallmadge, Chicago T^HE third year of the Chicago Society of Etchers * closed with 73 active, 173 associate and 14 honorary members. Exhibitions have been given in St. Louis, Roches- ter, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Toledo, Pittsburgh, Du- buque, Madison, Worcester and Providence. In the present annual exhibition, 225 prints were accepted and 164 rejected. The publication for 1913 for presentation to associate members will be etchings from plates made for this purpose by members who will submit them to a jury for selection. Only as many etchings will be printed as there are associate members ; the plates will then be destroyed and no copies will be for sale. The Society reserves ten per cent, of the income from dues of associate members for the purchase of etchings from our annual exhibitions in Chicago.
