 Check rooms. Check rooms for the convenience of out of town 
 guests are provided in the lobby of the auditorium. 
 
 Registration. All who are in attendance are desired to register as 
 soon as possible after reaching the city in order that they may 
 receive the souvenir of the occasion. A registration bureau will 
 be maintained in the main reading room on the second floor. 
 
 Place of meetings. All the exercises, except the reception on Wednes- 
 day evening, will be held in the auditorium, the entrance to which 
 is from Hawk street. Admission to the auditorium and to the 
 reception will be by ticket only. 
 
 Cap and gown. The academic cap and gown will be welcomed at 
 any time. It is especially desired that the academic costume be 
 worn in the dedicatory procession of Thursday afternoon, but 
 attendance at no function will be conditioned upon its use. Pro- 
 vision has been made for the rental of caps and gowns at room 
 124. 
 
 Reception. At the reception on Wednesday evening the receiving 
 Une will be in the rotunda on the second floor. Refreshments 
 will be served on the fourth floor. Guests arriving by automobile 
 or carriage will be admitted to and will depart from the Swan 
 street entrance. Others are expected to use the main entrance 
 from Washington avenue. Admission by ticket only. 
 
 Dedicatory procession. Those participating in the dedicatory pro- 
 cession on Thursday afternoon will meet at two o'clock in the 
 rooms of the Regents, the Commissioner of Education, and the 
 Assistant Commissioners on the west corridor of the main floor. 
 The procession will form in the corridor and pass out at the Swan 
 street exit and move down Washington avenue to Hawk street 
 and pass into the auditorium. The order of procession will be: 
 Grand Marshal, William Verbeck, Adjutant General of the State 
 
of New York and President of St John's Military Academy at 
 Manlius; the Governor and staff, the United States Senators 
 from New York-, former Governors of .New York and other speak- 
 ers, officiating clergymen, the Chancellor of the University and 
 the Commissioner of Education of New York State, members 
 of the Board of Regents, delegates representing foreign institu- 
 tions in order of founding, the United States Commissioner of 
 Education, state superintendents of education, delegates repre- 
 senting American institutions in order of founding, representa- 
 tives of state normal schools, city superintendents and mem- 
 bers of boards of education, village superintendents, district
