INST. 1900 OFFICIAL CATALOGUE of . . . SWEET PEA NAMES 1909 PRICE SIXPENCE. CHAS. H. CURTIS, Hon. Sec, Adelaide Road, Brentford, Middlesex. National Sweet Pea Society's OFFICIAL CATALOGUE OP SWEET FEA NA/AES. The following Official Catalogue of varieties of Sweet Peas is as complete as it has been possible to compile from the seed lists of the principal British and American raisers and distributors. The Catalogue, kindly prepared by Miss Jessie Cuthbertson, is issued to preserve old names ^^nd titles/ and in order that raisers and introducers may avoid the duplication of names. The name following the variety is that of the raiser. If two names are given, the second is that of the firm who introduced the variety to commerce. The names in small capitals indicate old varieties or those that have been superseded by later introductions ; italics indicate synonyms. The Committee deprecates the use of a firm's or raiser's name as a possessive prefix to the title of a Sweet Pea, and all such prefixes have been deleted in the present issue. In future, to safeguard raisers and the public, and prevent confusion, a name containing such a prefix will not be recognised by the National Sweet Pea Society. The Certificates and Awards of Merit noted are tho3e of th_e National Sweet Pea Society, or, where " E.H.S." is added, those of the Koyal Horticultural Society. Corrections of names, descriptions, or dates of introduction and notification of omissions will be gratefully received by the Hon. Secretary, so that future catalogues may be as complete and accurate as possible. Official Catalogue. A. J. Cook (Unwiu — Watkins & Simpson, 1907). — Violet mauve self, of Gladys Unwin form. A. W.
